In an industry driven by speed, margins and constant change long-term relationships have become rare. Many fashion brands switch suppliers season after season, chasing lower prices or shorter lead times. At Lalamour, we chose a different rhythm… one built on trust, continuity and shared responsibility.

For more than ten years, we have been working with the same main production partner: Orimpex, based in Izmir, Turkey. What started as a production relationship has grown into a close collaboration that shapes how our collections are developed, produced and refined over time.

Working with the same producer for over a decade creates a depth of understanding that cannot be achieved through short-term sourcing. Fabrics, fits and construction techniques are developed together, season after season. This continuity allows us to improve quality incrementally, test new ideas in a controlled way and maintain consistency across collections

A significant part of our collections is developed in close cooperation with Orimpex. Many of the materials we use are not selected from a catalogue, but created specifically for Lalamour. This process gives us greater control over quality, durability and material performance, while also allowing room for experimentation and innovation.

Orimpex was founded in 2007 with a clear vision: to focus exclusively on responsible textile production. Long before sustainability became a widely used term in fashion marketing, the company made a conscious decision to work only with responsible materials and partners. This long-term commitment is one of the reasons our collaboration has remained so strong over the years.

Beyond materials and production, proximity plays an important role in how we work. By concentrating production within the same region and limiting the number of partners we collaborate with, communication remains direct and transparent. Decisions are made faster, challenges are addressed earlier and expectations are clearer on both sides. This closeness allows for a more thoughtful production process, rather than reactive problem-solving.

Long-term partnerships also create space for progress. Improvements in materials, processes and working methods take time. They require stability, mutual trust and a willingness to invest beyond a single season. By working with the same partners year after year, we are able to build on previous learnings rather than starting from scratch each collection.

For us, choosing long-term collaboration over constant supplier switching is not about convenience or habit. It is a deliberate choice to support craftsmanship, accountability and shared growth. It allows us to take responsibility not only for what we make, but for how it is made — today and in the years to come.

In a fashion system that often rewards speed over care, we believe trust is one of the most valuable materials a brand can work with.
